BUT FIRST is a collaboration between filmmaker Erin Brown Thomas and Choreographer Mike Esperanza. The two conceived of the film during a CoLabratory workshop with San Francisco Dance Film Festival and The National Center for Choreography at Akron University. Coffee literally changes the way we see, think, and interact with other people. BUT FIRST is our way of exploring this through the mediums of film and dance.
