Thanks To Hank is the inspirational story of Hank Wilson, a true unsung hero of the gay liberation movement and the AIDS epidemic which followed. Unique in its focus on the impact of the AIDS epidemic on poor people and people of color, the film tells the story of AIDS activism in the years before ACTUP, and demonstrates how early gay liberation activists were people with a much broader vision of social justice than equal rights for gay people.
