JK Rowling and Elon Musk have been named in a lawsuit filed by Olympic gold medallist Imane Khelif for “acts of aggravated cyber harassment.”
The suit was filed against X, meaning it covers every social media post against Khelif, opening up the investigation to a wide range of comments.
The lawsuit mentions Rowling and Musk, who claimed Khelif is transgender or male, despite the International Olympic Committee confirming her gender identity.
Donald Trump will also be part of the investigation, even though his name is not explicitly mentioned in the lawsuit.
"What we’re asking is that the prosecution investigates not only these people but whoever it feels necessary…the prosecutor’s office for combating online hate speech has the possibility to make requests for mutual legal assistance with other countries," said Nabil Boudi, Khelif’s Paris-based lawyer.
