Most of us know how to clear the ice from our windshields and demist our windows in the winter weather. But there is one setting you should avoid turning on during the winter period - the "air recirculation" button. The button shows an arrow going into a circle, and it essentially cuts off outside air from being brought into the car. Instead, it recirculates air inside the vehicle, making it great to use when you have the AC on during the summer. However, it should be turned off in winter as it doesn’t offer any benefit and can even be detrimental. If you leave the air-recirculation button on during the winter, it will trap the humidity inside your car. This can result in your windscreen misting up again while you are driving.
